Membership Benefits

A subscription to the Oniota
Our bimonthly newsletter keeps you informed of events and activities happening at your History Center, including previews of upcoming programs and exhibits.  You'll also find special features and stories focused on our community's history.

Free use of the Research Library
Named in memory of a past president and leading benefactor Colonel Tharratt Gilbert Best, the research library houses thousands of rare photographs, books, directories, manuscripts, newspapers and other periodicals, maps, and reference files.  Researching family genealogy is one of its most popular uses; however, our resources are valued by educators, researchers, writers, and others interested in the area's history.

10% discount at the on-site Bookstore
The History Center bookstore offers a great selection of titles and merchandise with a focus on local history and authors. Members receive 10% off all purchases.

Discounted admission to special events
Members receive discount pricing on special events, such as the Historical Hall of Fame Awards Banquet, workshops, and special programs.

The rewarding opportunity to support your community
Your membership supports the History Center's ongoing efforts to preserve and share our local history, and allows us to provide a variety of low-cost opportunities to the community including 30+ free public programs and presentations each year,  discounted educational programs for teachers and students of all ages, and free access to the exhibit gallery.
